Its been a while!

Ok so we were all sick with a stomach bug Wednesday the 17th until Saturday the 20th. It was no fun! Madeline spent her first St. Patrick's Day with GiGi b/c mommy was WAY to sick to take care of her. She didn't even wear green...so no pictures...sorry! :( Then on that Sunday Madeline and I flew to Orlando for a week with Mickey Mouse. Here are some pictures:

Big Girl Bed!

Not that she sleeps in it, but we lowered the mattress in Madeline's bed today. We figured that she is starting to pull up that it was time!

Girls Night In

Madeline and mommy had a girls night on Saturday night b/c daddy went to Mr. Jason's house for a guys night. Madeline had fun playing in her room and really perfected her sitting up on her own! She now has learned that she can get to a sitting position from a crawling position. She also gets really proud of herself when she pulls up on mommy's hands and then takes a couple of steps. Mommy gets really excited too!

She loved pulling herself up on my hands, then going to my shoulders, then inching across my arm to the chair, and then standing up on the chair. She is getting to be quit the little walker...as long as she is holding on!Oh and she thinks she doesn't have to hold on! hahaSitting up by herself like a big girl!

Playing in the backyard

Madeline and daddy played in the backyard yesterday while mommy was running 8 miles.
Here are pictures:She is really starting to try to pull up on stuff. Daddy said he put her up on the stairs and then she turned around to get his hand and took two steps. She is getting to be such a big girl!She liked the grass!

I love doing Madeline's excerises!

Every day (well almost every day) after Madeline's lunch mommy and Madeline do baby excerises. First we sing our ABCs and bring Madeline's right arm to her left foot then we sing it again and bring her left arm to her right foot. Then we sing Twinkle Twinkle and bring her arms together and them open them up and some times up and down. After that we sing the wheels on the bus and circle Madeline's legs. And then last but not least is Madeline's favorite...we kick kick kick her feet!

Oh and then she gets to play with the remote control for a little while. But not in the mouth! :)

Sitting up

Ok so I know she did this backwards, but yesterday Madeline crawled and today I think she sat up by herself for the first time. We were playing in her room and I am pretty sure that I put her on her tummy and then walked out of the room. Well when I came back in she was in a spot that I KNOW I would not have put her and she was on bottom. I think she rolled over there and then sat up. She had really started trying this yesterday at Kindermusik and I think she achieved her goal today!

Of course I ran and got the camera!!!They are not great, but she was not really happy...even though mommy was clapping and screaming b/c she was so happy!

Madeline Monster

I love when we all play Madeline Monster!

This is when Madeline tries to eat our face. She thinks this is the most fun game in the world and we love to laugh at how much fun she has doing it. She lays on top of us and pokes our eyes out and eats our nose and mouth and checks. Maybe this is her way of kissing us...who knows!

She really thinks it is fun to eat the towel on the top of my head when my hair is wet.

She is so funny!

Crawling and 7 months

Today is Madeline's 7 month birthday!!!!! WOW she is already 7 months...I can't believe that! Oh and even bigger news...she crawled for the first time tonight. We were all three laying on the floor in Madeline's room, waiting for her supper to warm up. Well, I guess she really wanted that little purple ball she got at Mardi Gras b/c she moved her right hand forward and then her right leg. A couple seconds later she moved her left hand. She is a crawler now! :) It was not much movement but she did it! YAY!!!! Then of course the second I bring out the camera she stopped and started crying...so sorry no video yet! But here are pictures of her on her hands and knees in back of her birthday cake.
I tried to make some clovers since St. Pat's day is next week...didn't really work though!M is good at going backwards!She was getting tired and ready for her bath!

Day Care

I think Madeline might actually be liking day care! Today daddy picked her up for the first time and her teacher told him that she really enjoyed music time. Then I would have figured that she would have napped most of the time she was there (2:15 to 5:35) but instead her sheet said she was happy and played well with friends. I think this might end up to be really good for her!

So this past weekend we got ready for a new stage in Madeline's life...crawling and walking!

I started off by moving all the china that I had displayed at the bottom of our buffet table in the dinning room. Then I took apart Madeline's 1st friends...her jungle vibrator seat. This was kind of sad, but she is getting too big to sit in the seat!Then we lowered the floor in the pack-n-play. Madeline kind of liked it in there!
She is growing up so fast! She will be 1 before we know it!!!!!

First day of day care

It was quit a sad day yesterday b/c I finally brought Madeline to day care around 2:20. We went to swimming yesterday (which she did GREAT even after being gone for 2 weeks) and then we went to the grocery store. I was putting off bringing her for as long as I could. Then we got home and I planned on feeding her and then bringing her around 12:30. Well after I fed her she was tired and crancky, so of course I couldn't bring her like that. So I went and put her in her swing for a nap. She slept for almost two hours and was in a pretty good mood so I figured I would bring her. I was very nervous about how the two of us would do, but we both did pretty well. I knew I was only leaving her for like a hour so it was that bad. The lady at the front desk took her right when we walked in and Madeline was smiling at her. Then we went into her room and one of her teachers took her and she smiled again at her. She did look back once when she was with her teacher to make sure it was ok by me. Then they put her on the floor to play with the other kids and she was fine. She didn't look back which made me sad...but happy at the same time b/c I knew she would be ok. I left her room and went and watched her on the TV in the lobby for a little while. She looked like she was having a good time! I left a little sad, but knew that this day was going to come sooner or later. Plus I think it will be good for her to be around other people and kids.

I was very anxious to get back there after my chiroprator appointment! When I walked in she was a little fussy and so they were about to give her some puffs. Then when she saw me she really started crying. I dropped everything that was in my hands so that I could take her right away. I missed her so much! She must have missed me a lot too! :) But they said that she had a good time and only had become a little fussy in the last couple of minutes. I think she was tired! Well actually I think one of her cousins might have given her a cold this weekend, so she was feeling very well.

When we got home I played and played and played with her! I felt so bad for bringing her to day care! Then I rocked her to sleep for her nap. I normally put her in her swing so that I can get some work done. I didn't want to put her down!

I will probably drop her off this afternoon and see if I can make it for two hours. haha
