UL Cheerleader

Madeline went tailgate for her first UL game on Saturday. Her and I were supposed to get out there at noon, but she slept at Maw Maw's house until 3:00 so we were a little late. She was SO cute in her little cheerleader outfit...but she still had a little purple on to support the Tigers (notice the socks)!

She did enjoy it a lot more then this picture shows. It is just that she was out there from 10 am to about 6 pm!

I love that Madeline likes to read!

Paw Paw was having fun with her on Thanksgiving morning! hahahaI hope she does become a better reader then me!

The first book I read to her was LSU 101. She didn't really sit still for too long, so we only got to page two. We try to read nursery rhymes to her but I think she is still a little too young to enjoy them.

Thanksgiving

I have not blogged in a while because we have been in Lafayette since last Wednesday for Thanksgiving. Wednesday night we went out to Downtown Alive in Lafayette. Madeline loved the christmas tree and also went to her first wine cellar.

Thursday we spent all day at my mom's with Troy and his family. It was nice and a little quiet at times!

I love Madeline's little hands!
I love watching her look at them! She can watch her hands or my hands for hours at a time. She started really noticing them on September 15th and started grabbing the little bird on her seat.

Now she is getting really good at putting things in her mouth. Her favorite toy is her burp cloth. We try to wipe her month, b/c she drools and spits up so much, and she takes it from us and puts it in her mouth. She does get some of the drool when doing this, so it kind of works out good for us! :)

Her index figure and thumb are in her mouth a good amout of the time!

I love that Madeline loves to run!

I am starting to run again and Madeline loves it! We went for our first run the day after her 3 month birthday.

She loved it!

Today we ran for about a mile and a half! It was a little cold so we need to find a better way to keep warm then this.

She is not a huge fan of her regular stroller but she likes this one for some reason. She is VERY quiet the whole time we run/jog...which is really good b/c I am starting to train for a half marathon. We will be running every day from now until April! :)

I love Madeline's toes!

Madeline started grabbing her toes last Wednesday night in the bathtub! She had been grabbing her legs to help her roll over but had never really grabbed her toes much before that. I heard Jeremy laughing at her while giving her a bath so I went in to see what she was doing. She would grab her toes and then throw her legs down into the water and make a huge splash. She was having so much fun doing ! Now we can't keep her hands and her toes apart! She also grabs everything now!!!! My hair is no longer safe down! My shirts are getting stretched out b/c of her. She is growing up so fast!!

I love the way Madeline looked in her car seat this morning!

I finally got her some of those pads to go over the straps on her car seat so that she is a little more comfortable in it. She HATES her car seat!!!!!!!!!! She starts cring most times the seconds she sees it, but she does like her frog a lot and it calms her down a little. Then once you pick her up and start moving her she is fine. Her daddy swings her up and down and she LOVES it. He put her to sleep like that in the Cancun airport. Thank goodness b/c there was nothing else we could do with her...no chairs ANYWHERE for me to feed her! So this is a picture of her this morning getting ready for her and daddy's first outing alone!




This morning is the first time that she is going somewhere without me! It is a new step for me! Her daddy left with her a little while ago.

Oh yeah, they did great last night and I got to sleep for over 10 hours!!!!!!!!!! I haven't probably had that much sleep in a week. hahaha I think they slept pretty good too! This was not her first night without mommy though...she slept with Maw Maw the night of Tracey and Brent's wedding in Mexico.

I am loving the fact that Madeline has been sleeping almost all day and is going to be up all night with her daddy! heehee

She took about an hour long nap this morning before Blair got here. Once Blair got here (I know it is not her normal day, but b/c of the holiday next week I asked her to come today) she played for a little while and then crashed. She woke up for only a few minutes to eat and then back to sleep she went. I am getting SO much done today b/c of it!!! She must know that her daddy does need to sleep tonight. haha Oh is he going to be sad when he finds this out tonight. He may never offer to stay up with her again.

She has not really been sleeping all that much at all! A couple nights ago I think we got like 4 to 5 hours of sleep and then she only takes like two 30 minutes naps and MAYBE one 2 to 3 hour nap. Yeah, babies her age are supposed to get like 14 to 16 hours of sleep a day...she gets about 8! And the weird thing is that she is not that cranky during the day...at night, yes, but during the day no, not really. I started bringing her to a chiropracter about a month ago...when we got back from Mexico...and that has been working somewhat. She is a much calmer child now at least.

Smiles

I love when Madeline smiles at me in the middle of the night!

At 3am the last thing you want to do is smile b/c you are so tired and you just want your little one to back to sleep!!! Well, Madeline has a way of making it all better by smiling up at me. I, of course, have to smile back even though I want to be grumpy and tired. I could sit there the rest of the night and smile back at her but then realize that would do neither of us any good so I tell her that it is not play time...it is sleepy time! She acts as though she understands, b/c she goes back to eating and closes her eyes.

She started smiling for real the Friday before Labor Day. She and I were sitting on the sofa and I was talking to her and singing and she smiled like she was happy. I didn't know if it was for real or not, but then later that day she did it again when I was talking to her. That weekend Jeremy realized that she was doing it too. We have enjoyed her smiles every day since then!

This was on the way to her Uncle Ralph's wedding, in Orlando...the first time we got her smiling on camera!

My First Post

Ok so I decided to start a blog...bear with me...I am learning! I want to write down as much as I can about Madeline so that I can remember it forever. I feel like I have already missed so much! She is now 3 months and 10 days old...WOW!!! It seems like just yesterday we were talking about maybe trying for a baby and now we have had one for 3 months. Although I don't really remember life before her either...well I don't really want to remember life before her but it wasn't completely full like it is now. We love her so much...which is why I named the blog what I did. I went with 810 b/c that is her birthday...August 10th. I am sure there will be more then 810 things that I love about her, but I needed a title. :) Ok well I think this will be the end of my first blog b/c it is 2:15 am and I should be sleeping...but I get to sleep ALL night tomorrow night b/c Jeremy has offered to sleep in the other room with Madeline. YAY!!!! I am taking benadryl and passing OUT!!!! I will have enough milked pumped so that I can sleep for 12 hours and they will be fine! YAY for me! Ok well off to bed I go!
